Compact Flash Association
The CompactFlash® Association was established in 1995 by a group of international companies and is now focused on the common goal of creating industry standards for flash-based memory cards targeting the professional imaging, video, and industrial markets. The CompactFlash Association focuses on the development of the specifications, compliance testing processes and tools, as well as conduct marketing activities to promote CFA products, technology, and associated applications.

FIDO (Fast IDentity Online)

FIDO (Fast IDentity Online) Alliance
The FIDO Alliance is a 501(c)6 non-profit organization nominally formed in July 2012 to address the lack of interoperability among strong authentication devices as well as the problems users face with creating and remembering multiple usernames and passwords. Its mission is to change the nature of online authentication by developing technical specifications that define an open, scalable, interoperable set of mechanisms that reduce the reliance on passwords to authenticate users, operating industry programs to help ensure successful worldwide adoption of the specifications, and submitting mature technical specification(s) to recognized standards development organization(s) for formal standardization.

PC/SC Workgroup
The Workgroup's mission is twofold: to promote a standard specification, to ensure that smart cards, smart card readers, and computers made by different manufacturers will work together and to facilitate the development of smart card applications for PC and other computing platforms.The PC/SC Workgroup was formed to address limitations in existing standards from a personal computer/smart card application perspective. Specifically, existing standards complicate the integration of smart card devices, and do not adequately address interoperability between products from multiple vendors.
